Inspiration #2 - You First

CARE FOR YOURSELF FIRST Without having your needs met, you cannot try to meet others' needs!  Sure, we often prioritize work over helping the environment - whatever seems most pressing is what we choose to address - but that isn't meeting your needs. Meeting your needs is taking time to be present and think about what is best for your body, brain and mind. Work exists as a way to prove yourselves to others and challenge yourself but at core it is not what makes your life meaningful.  ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ˜Š✨ It can help make your life meaningful, but that does not mean that it is what you need at every point of the day.  Work can be helpful, but that doesn't mean that without work you would be any less important. At core we are alive without work, without stress, without looking a certain way.  And you addressing your stresses and anxieties can allow you to find a place of calmness๐Ÿ˜Œ and truth from which we can actually make positive sustainable change in our lives.  T...

Inspiration#1 - Make it FUN!

  Welcome to Inspiration #1! Every Sunday I will give you an inspiration for the following week, and this is number 1! 1. Make It FUN! Making meaningful action - if it's boring - will never be completed. So add some fun to your lifestyle, while taking action for causes that are important. I suggest making any climate changes to your lifestyle in one of the following ways: a) challenging yourself b) doing something you find interesting c) scaring yourself Each of these ways is a psychological lever to motivate your brain into action. There are many ways to take action, also(a later post) - but if you wished to buy less(a wonderful and climate friendly incentive) this is how you could use these motivation tools: a) A challenge: I will buy NOTHING but write down all the things I want and then figure out ways to satisfy that want for a whole month. If it is not life-threatening... not happening right now. b) Tuning into interests: I love making art, so I will draw things I think I want...

Our Goals!

 1. Connect to Others 2. Live Simply 3. Contribute to Change For me, goals are either too high of expectations, or too boring to complete.  For WF(We are the Future) I hope that three general goals can help nudge us in the right direction, without freaking anyone out. For example, I HAVE TO GET THESE GOALS DONE NOW OR I WILL FAIL AS A PERSON!!! is an example of what I DO NOT want our organization's goals to be like.  If you think they are too general, comment or email. Or something. Here is a basic run through of the goals(read more on my site!): #1: Connect: This means finding common ground in what issues need changing. When we unite for a cause, change happens. A (Slightly Distracted) Welcome

Hello, and welcome! Make yourself comfy. Snuggle under some blankets, maybe? I personally am eating a bowl of Cheetos. No matter the purpose you have on this blog(like me, you could simply be distracted by links...), I wish that you would leave with more hope than when you first arrived.
